Mix it up, make your own number and letter cards for the grid! My girls love Disney princesses and My Little Pony, another loves an old game called Undertale and the book series Warriors. Instead of making the grid just plain numbers and letters, make some cards that have pictures of things they love. It's a great way let them pick out fun pictures that will get them excited to play! Switch out the flashcards too. The Dollar Store has all kinds of flashcards from princesses to addition and subtraction, telling time, counting money, etc... My boys are even using the game to learn to read music notes.
